Any person of age 21 years or over, of good character, with an interest in the promotion of the objects and purposes of the organization is eligible for membership.

The apprentice program is two years in length after which you may apply for active membership entitling you to all rights associated with that classification, including the right to vote and hold office.

Associate Membership is open to anyone meeting the age, character, and interest requirements as stated above. This is a popular choice for people who are unable to meet apprentice obligations or whose primary interest is use of the clubhouse facilities.

Associate members can use the bar and galley, sponsor parties, attend membership meetings, and serve on committees.  Associates may not vote or hold office and have no boating rights.

• You will need two sponsors who are Active or Active Life members in good standing. If you are unable to contact a sponsor, complete an application available as a .pdf document on this Web Site and indicate you will need sponsors. Mail to the Sheboygan Yacht Club. Alternatively, you can fill out the fields below the fee schedule and electronically send your name and other information; you will then to be contacted by a club memeber.

• Your sponsors will assist with the membership application form and return the completed application to the Membership Secretary.

• The Membership Secretary will schedule you and your sponsors for an interview by the Board of Directors at its next regularly scheduled meeting.

• After the interview, your picture will be posted for 30 days and your application will be voted on by the Board at the next regularly scheduled meeting.

• An accepted applicant will be inducted at the following general membership meeting. General membership meetings are the second Thursday evening of each month.
